Class Reminders
- Please remember that school begins each day at 8:00 a.m. The first bell rings at 7:55. Children should not arrive at school until 7:50 unless they are eating breakfast or going to Kid's Time. Thanks!
- Our 3rd grade color is green. In the morning, students will stand on the green line by the front doors before entering the building in the morning. After school, if your child will be picked up in the front circle loop, your 3rd grader will be standing in the green boxes around the loop to be picked up at dismissal.
- School dismisses each day at 3:10. Please be sure your child knows how he/she is getting home from school each day. (bus, walk, bike, loop, Kids' Time) If students are getting picked up in the front loop, they will walk with a 3rd grade teacher to the front of the building. You will notice colored squares which the students stand in to be picked up. The 3rd grade color is GREEN. Students have been instructed to wait for rides in their assigned areas and enter vehicles on the passenger side only.
- Please do not stop your vehicle by the doors, exit your vehicle, or stop by the flag pole, as this backs up traffic. Move forward when ever possible or asked by staff. Students should enter your vehicle on the curb side only for safety.
- Please be courteous and patient during drop off and pick up times. We are serving hundreds of students at Fairview. Pick up goes very quickly when we all work together to get the students home safely.
- It may be helpful to pack your child's backpack the night before. Please remember to send lunch money and any notes or homework back to school each day in your child's purple take home folder. You can also send items for the P.T.A such as Campbell's soup labels, Boxtops for Education, and pop tabs any time. We'll send them down to the office when the volunteer collects them.
- We're learning to fill out our Student Planners each day to inform you as to what we do each day. Please watch for your child's purple take-home folder each day in his/her backpack. Have your child share the day with you as you review his/her planner and items in the take-home folder. If there is ever work that is not checked off, highlighted in the planner, or is in the "Return to School" side of the folder, it should be completed at home and returned the next day in the folder. Thanks!
